Animal control and regulation is provided by the County of San Bernardino, under the Animal Care & Control Program.  The program services the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County and under contract, the cities of Big Bear Lake, Highland, Rialto, and Yucaipa.  County personnel provides animal control services within City limits in exchange for the use and maintenance of the City’s animal shelter building.
