The City will be forming an Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) to promote responsible economic development and redevelopment; identify strategies to diversify the economy; and promote the need and availability of various goods and services in the community.
The EDAC will be comprised of seven (7) volunteer members including 1 Councilmember, 1 Planning Commissioner, 1 business representative (must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce), 1 tourist industry representative from Visit Big Bear, 1 real-estate representative (office must be located in Big Bear Lake) and 2 at-large members. All members must be full-time residents of Big Bear Lake, own a business in Big Bear Lake, or work for a business/organization that is in Big Bear Lake.
