ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (EDAC)
The Economic Development Advisory Committee was officialy created on February 8, 2021 per Resolution No. 2021-19 (establishing EDAC) and Resolution No. 2021-109 (amended Committee composition).
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF EDAC
- provide a furom for exchanging ideas and information to address the needs fo the business community to serve Big Bear Lake residents and visitors
- work with partners and stakeholders on outreach and coordination efforts to promote business development and support economic vitality
COMMITTEE COMPOSITION
EDAC is comprised of 9 volunteer members and 2 alternatives. All committee members must be residents of Big Bear Lake, except those who own and/or work for a business in Big Bear Lake or who work for or are members of a Big Bear Lake organization may be eligible to serve on the committee. Appointments will be made by the Mayor, as follows:
- 1 City Council Representative
- 1 Planning Commission Representative
- 1 Business Representative from the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce
- 1 Tourism Industry Representative from Visit Big Bear
- 1 Real Estate Representative (main office in Big Bear Lake)
- 4 at-large members
- 2 alternates (to fill vacancies in the at-large capacity)

EDAC meetings are publicly noticed and are open to the public. Meetings will be held at City Hall, 39707 Big Bear Boulevard, Big Bear Lake, CA; however, meeting dates/times are TBD.
