The Planning Commission approved the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application to construct the Castle Rock Trailhead Parking Lot. This new public parking lot will consist of 30 stalls, two of which are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant, a public restroom facility with two unisex stalls, waste receptacles, and street improvements for safe access and circulation. The parking lot will be owned and maintained by the City of Big Bear Lake and will provide an improved amenity to residents and the general public using the existing Castle Rock Trail. The Site Plan below shows the location of the proposed parking lot relative to the large parcel and surrounding area. The parking lot occupies 12,000 square feet, or 8.2% of the 3.19 acre lot.
