National Trails Day

Help maintain our trails! Join the Southern California Mountains Foundation for family-friendly trail work with lunch provided, plus trash pick-up, and a raffle. All tools and gloves provided. Participants should wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeve shirts.

The event is 9 am - 2 pm. Fee-free parking available at the trailhead.

California Adopt-a-Pet Day

June 1st is California Adopt-a-Pet Day. To celebrate, San Bernardino County Animal Care is hosting a special local adoption event at Big Bear Animal Shelter, where you can meet and fall in love with amazing pets who are eagerly awaiting loving homes.

Steven G. Mihaylo 2024 Scholarship Presentation

Students will have a chance to speak with Steve Mihaylo during a Q and A, graduating seniors from BBHS will be presented scholarships, donors will be acknowledged, and the educators that recipients wish to recognize will be honored for their contribution to the development of the scholar's education. Admission to this event is free.

Village Concert Series Featuring Young Guns A Tribute to Country Superstars

The City of Big Bear Lake and Visit Big Bear are teaming up to present an exciting FREE music concert series in The Village! The live music scene in Big Bear Lake is expanding, so come out and enjoy the music, savor delicious meals at local restaurants, support local businesses, and mingle with fellow community members. Check out the Kids Zone with a bounce house, face painting, and games.

Young Guns will kickoff the 2024 Village Concert Series on Thursday, June 27 at 7 PM at the corner of Pine Knot Ave. and Village Dr. Young Guns is not your regular old country band. With roots in the folk music of the South, cowboy music of the West, and good old rock and roll, the band shines with harmonies, rhythms, and romantic ballads.
