Public Trash Sites (Clean Bear)

The City and Big Bear Disposal, Inc. has one drop-off location (Clean Bear Sites) for residential customers who are unable to utilize weekly curbside trash service. 

The drop-off facility has bins designated for household refuse, recycling, green/yard waste, E-waste, universal waste and ashes.  Ashes must be soaked for a minimum of 48 hours prior to disposal.

Clean Bear Site #2- CLOSED
Clean Bear Site #2 is closed as of Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Proof of eligibility is required to dump at the Clean Bear Site.

Users will be asked to provide proof of eligibility by:

  • Photo ID
  • Property Document (Mortgage Statement, Lease, Property Tax Bill)
  • Utility Bill
  • Car Registration
  • For visitors, a rental contract or other document associated with a City of Big Bear Lake residential property address

Curbside trash service is also available to all Big Bear Lake homeowners/residents, vacation homes and weekend rentals.
