PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR
Annual Base Salary Range $80,808 - $98,218
Department: Public Works
 

This position will perform a variety of duties within the Public Works Department which include: plans, schedules, and supervises the work activities of operations staff responsible for construction, maintenance, repair, and/or operation of streets, parks, and storm drains. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervises the maintenance and operation of the City’s wastewater collection system, pumps and lift stations; inspects construction/maintenance of the system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Primary duties also consist of overseeing snow removal activities; which may include operating a snowplow, and assisting in the City’s related responses to emergency incidents. In addition, the successful candidate would monitor the crews’ work activities to ensure safe work practices, work quality, and accuracy. Under general direction from the Public Works Manager, the position will also perform other related and peripheral duties as required or becomes necessary for the
successful performance of the Public Works Department.

 

CODE COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Hourly Salary: $32.29 - $39.25/hr + benefits
Department: Community & Economic Development
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performs residential, commercial and industrial site inspections; receives complaints and determines existence and type of code violation, establishes legal owner required to take corrective action; proactively identify and resolve public nuisance violations; receive complaints and determine existence and type of code violation; issue notices of violation and administrative citations; maintain accurate records and document related actions taken in the City’s database; interpret, apply and explain applicable municipal codes, zoning ordinances, building codes, vehicle codes, health and safety codes and other related laws and regulations; explain processes and procedures for obtaining compliance and appropriate permits; effectively deal with non-cooperative people; make sound decisions within established guidelines; establish positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, City staff, local business owners and community residents.

 

NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION OFFICER
Hourly Salary: $32.29/hr - $39.25/hr + benefits
Department: Neighborhood Preservation (Vacation Rentals)
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: enforcing the City’s vacation rental program including site inspections, receiving complaints and determining existence and type of code violation; evaluating findings of investigations and inspections; maintaining accurate case records, documents and photographs in the City’s database; gathering evidence and preparing cases for court proceedings; representing the City in court or at appeal hearings regarding non-compliance; enforcing parking regulations related to snow removal; interpreting, applying and explaining applicable municipal codes, zoning ordinances, building codes, vehicle codes, health and safety codes and other related laws and regulations; explaining processes and procedures for obtaining compliance and appropriate permits; effectively dealing with non-cooperative people; making sound decisions within established guidelines; establishing positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, City staff, local business owners, community residents and tourists.
