The Code Compliance department, as part of the Community Services Division, is responsible for enforcing the City’s land use, zoning, property maintenance, sign and nuisance regulations in order to ensure public safety and maintain the attractive appearance of Big Bear Lake as a destination resort.  The department also administers the Transient Private Home Rental inspection program to ensure that vacation home rentals are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition and to avoid or limit the impacts to the surrounding residential neighborhood.
