Film Services promotes and facilitates the production of films, television, commercials and still photography in Big Bear Lake. It markets Big Bear through advertising, direct mail campaigns, trade shows, and press releases. The services provided by the Film Office include location scouting; coordinating with production companies, the community and various agencies; processing permits; publishing an annual productions guide; and maintaining a location photo library.                                                                                                 

The City contracts with the Inland Empire Film Commission to perform the services of the City's Film Office.
